Hambush Barn

Baltonsborough, Somerset

The Brief:

To convert a redundant old Dutch barn into a cutting edge luxury holiday let, that nestled well into its surroundings.

The Works:

The challenging aspect was to reuse the orginal structure, which involved under pinning the stantions, manufacturing new curved roof trusses and fixing them to the stantions.

In order to maximise the views, it was decided to place the living quarters upstairs, as well as providing a practical design. The adjacent agricultural barn was given a cosmetic facelift at the same time to ensure it all blended in.
