Bridge Farm

West Bradley, Somerset

The Brief:

To demolish existing cowsheds and build three inter-connected modern, spacious and light office spaces using traditional materials.

The Works:

2013/14

Once demolision was complete we were left with only the rear wall to work from. Works therefore included stonework, using original stone sourced from the site, an oak-framed facade and trussed roof supplied and fitted by local firm The Timber Frame Company. Windows and doors were from 'Windows of Wood' and the roof was tiled using reclaimed clay double romans.

Internally there are three offices and two service areas. The floor finish is waxed, power-floated concrete which provides a slight industrial feel. The building is heated by a Biomass boiler supplied and fitted by our sister company, Navitas SHS Ltd.
